November 20th, Tuesday, Colombo, GOLD FM, Sri Lanka’s number one English Radio Channel proudly presents Grammy and Billboard award winning artist Jon Secada performing live in Sri Lanka on Saturday the 8th of December. Beginning the festive season with a bang, GOLD FM continues to revolutionise the Sri Lankan entertainment industry, with yet another mesmerising concert ensuring that this season is an unforgettable one.

Over the years Gold FM has entertained Sri Lankan audiences with a plethora of phenomenal artists such as Cliff Richards, Leo Sayer and more recently Billy Ocean. This December’s Jon Secada’s concert aims to hit an all-time high as he will be performing live with his 16 member band from 7 pm onwards at the Nelum Pokuna Outdoor Arena ensuring that all fans will be left with an evening to remember.

The three time Grammy award winning recording artist is a dynamic live performer, a talented insightful songwriter and an international superstar in his own right. JUST ANOTHER DAY – is the debut single released by Jon Secada from his 1992 debut album Jon Secada. Written by Jon Secada and Miguel Morejon, the song reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary chart. It also peaked at No. 5 in the UK.

ANGEL – is a 1993 hit by Jon Secada from his debut album Jon Secada. It was a major hit, reaching #18 on the pop chart, #1 on Hot Latin Tracks, and coming close to the top of the adult contemporary chart.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN US? – is off his debut album Jon Secada. It hit the Billboard Top 20 but made it to number 1 in the Latin charts. Enchanting lyrics and composition, certified hit in over 15 countries.

IF YOU GO – is the name of a song written by Jon Secada and Miguel Morejon and recorded for his 1994 album Heart, Soul & a Voice. The song was released as a single, peaking at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100. It would mark his last appearance in that chart’s Top 10. It also performed well in some international markets. The song’s lyrics detail a desire that a female subject not leave the singer, for, if she does, “there’ll be something missing in his life.”

I’M FREE – Another number 1 hit on the Latin charts and from his certified platinum debut album, Jon Secada. This is one song that everyone sings along to.

TOO LATE, TOO SOON – A touching yet inspiring single… an all time favourite hit that touched every Sri Lankan heart.

MENTAL PICTURE – from his 1994 album, Heart, Soul & Voice, a song that showcases his vocal expertise. This hit single was also released in Spanish, “Solo tu Imagen”

WINDOW TO MY HEART – 2005 Billboard Adult Contemporary Top 10 hit which is also one of Jon Secada’s signature song every time he performs.

FREE – from JonSecada’s 2006 album, Same Dream. FREE became a contagious dance hit which sent the whole world dancing.

STOP – 8 weeks in the SUN FM Hot 40 back in the day! Still an all-time favourite hit!

COMING OUT OF THE DARK – the hit single of Gloria Estefan, in which Jon Secada was part of the choir. The song hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Adult contemporary charts.  Estefan & Secada co-wrote this super hit

SHE’S ALL I EVER HAD – the second single taken from the multiplatinum first English-language album by Ricky Martin. It was released on June 15, 1999. The Spanish-language version is called “Bella” (“Beautiful”). The track was written and produced by Jon Secada. “Bella” peaked at number one for three weeks on the Hot Latin Songs, and also reached the top for seven weeks on the Latin Pop Songs. The original English version peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. It was certified Gold for selling over 500,000 copies.

YOUR VOICE INSIDE – Jon, in partnership with MERCK and the American Liver Foundation  has joined the “Tune Into Hep C” awareness campaign,  and has shared his story about losing his Father to chronic Hepatitis C.  The new song “Your Voice Inside” was written by Jon, and his long-time friend Miguel Morejon.  The song is a tribute to his father.
