GOLD FM Proudly Presents Isla Grant & Al Grant

Having mesmerized Sri Lankan audiences with performances by artistes of the calibre of   Sir Cliff Richard, The Platters, Leo Sayer, Billy Ocean and more recently Jon Secada – Gold FM- Sri Lanka’s foremost English radio station now prepares itself to host Scotland’s internationally acclaimed singing sensation, Isla Grant along with her husband Al Grant. The first time to debut in Asia as a duo, Isla and Al Grant will mesmerize audiences in Sri Lanka.  All ardent fans should keep the 19^th of July free for one night of all their favourite Isla and Al Grant songs at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC).

 

Featured regularly on Gold FM, Isla Grant who has won the hearts of audiences with the purity and warmth of her music with songs such as Sweet Baby Mine, A Single Yellow Rose, Cottage In The Country, Falling In Love With You, and duets with Al Grant like Darling When You’re Hurting and I’ll Be Faithful To You – to name a few that have captured the hearts of the numerous listeners in Sri Lanka.

 

The Scottish country singer /songwriter, whose popularity extends from the United Kingdom and Ireland to New Zealand and Australia, was born in Wigtownshire, Scotland. Growing up in a musical family the talented artist was greatly influenced by the folk music in the region and soon took an interest in American country music.  In time, Grant found international success as a Scottish country singer, releasing numerous albums, generally one or more per year. Her catalogue includes the albums Only Yesterday, Mother, Childhood Memories, The Beauty of My Home, The Best of Isla Grant, When The Day Is Done, Faith, Love and Hope, Down Memory Lane ,A Dream Come True and Special To Me.

 

Following eleven albums, some of which have gone triple platinum, Isla founded a record label of her own, I.G.E., and made her independent album debut – Isla Sings Hank, a Hank Williams tribute album.
