First day of action at SriLankan Airlines’ Golf Classics

 

Li Shishuang (46 points) of China playing off a 10 handicap and Sujeewa Lankathilake (39 points) playing off a 04 handicap were leading the Men’s Division-1 Category while Shamara Wettimuny  and Ahalya Rajan (both scoring 40 points) were leading the Women’s Division-1 Category at the conclusion of Day-1 of the  15th SriLankan Airlines’ Golf Classic, yesterday (September 25).  A total of Sixty golfers, consisting Sri Lankan and foreign golfers representing 18 countries,  took part in the inaugural day of the 15th SriLankan Airlines Golf Classic, held at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort, Kandy.  127 golfers are billed to play on Saturday and Sunday in Round-2 of the tournament.
